How to Write a Furnished Listing That Gets Inquiries
1 min readFurnished Keys Team

Renters choose a furnished place on three things: how it looks, what it really costs, and whether it's available when they need it. A good listing answers all three before anyone has to ask.
Photos come first
Shoot in daylight with the lights on and the blinds open.
Photograph every room, plus the entrance, the parking and any outdoor space.
Pick a cover photo that shows the main living space.
Upload at least five photos. Listings with fewer feel unfinished.
Write a specific title
"Cozy ADU" doesn't help anyone. Try something like "Private 1BR ADU with Washer/Dryer, 5 Min to Old Mill." Name the type, the size, a standout feature and the location.
Description: who it's for and what living there is like
Open with two sentences on who the place suits: a solo professional, a couple, or a family. Then cover:
the sleeping arrangements,
the kitchen, the workspace and the Wi-Fi speed,
laundry, parking and storage,
what's nearby,
whether you live on the property.
Spell out every cost
List the rent, utilities, the deposit and any fees separately. Surprise costs are the top reason renters drop off, and a clear breakdown builds trust.
Keep availability current
Confirm your dates regularly. Renters see when you last confirmed availability, and a recent date tells them you're responsive.
