NOTE - We are currently rented through Nov. 10, 2026 This large 1-bedroom apartment is out in the countryside of Addison, VT, along a very scenic, 21 minute drive from Middlebury and Porter Medical Center. The commute is fully paved, and mostly flat. It is a separate apartment attached to the main house. There is an interior door connecting the apartment to the main house, which is locked from both sides. The apartment is on the 2nd floor, above basement space (so, no one is living below you). The house is surrounded by huge mature trees, and this apartment has lots of windows looking right at the trees, so it almost looks like you're living in a treehouse! There is a twin bed in what we're calling the office, for guests. This room doesn't have a door and is open to the rest of the house. The bathroom is also off of the office. Overnight guests are limited to 8 nights in any calendar month. A washer and dryer (no charge) are available in the main house, and the laundry room has its own exterior door. You will coordinate with the residents of the main house (our nephew, and part time, his 2 adorable small children) to coordinate a schedule when the washer and dryer will be available to you. Outdoor clotheslines are also available. The house is on 5 acres of land. Cats may be accepted - assuming they properly use the litter box, and that they are spayed or neutered (intact cats are more likely to "spray", howl while in heat, etc.) Storage space available for a bicycle, kayak, etc. It is gorgeous countryside for biking! Nice deck with views, large yard, and if you're here in the summer, you can have some space for a vegetable garden. All utilities included, including central air and internet.
