I am a woman who owns a four bedroom single family home in South Arlington (close to the King Street exit from 395) and I rent two furnished rooms with a shared bath to individuals as a short-term or long-term rentals. Each room has a queen bed. Internet connection is available. The bedrooms are upstairs and away from any noises of the house - given the layout of the house, no one has ever said that they hear downstairs activities such as the TV or kitchen noises. One room is rented to a nurse who is only here part-time. She works at the hospital and he rarely here. It is a short walk to the Metro Bus lines to the Pentagon Metro (blue/yellow line) and an even a shorter walk to the Arlington Metro bus line to Ballston Mall (orange line). Also, there is ample street parking. All utilities are included in the rental payment except for the phone. I have a housekeeper who comes and cleans the entire house every three weeks and you have the option to have her clean your bedroom. There is no additional charge either way. I work with local rescue organizations and foster dogs. There are two foster dogs here. You will have absolutely no responsibilities for the care of the dog(s), but if you want company on a walk/run one would be happy to join you. Some people have enjoyed the dogs, others have just ignored them. The dogs do not go into the guest bedrooms.
