Birdwood has a very large backyard with fantastic privacy and a great deal of wildlife. We see deer in the yard daily as well and numerous song birds! Due to the large yards in this neighborhood the houses feel like they are in a rural location when in fact they are within walking distance to the ocean, several parks and downtown Bellingham! The yard is 3/4 of an acre and has apple, plum, pear, cherry and mature evergreen trees as well as blackberries, cherries, and several native flowering plants.

The space

Birdwood has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and was fully remodeled in 2020. The house is ~900 sq feet, w/two cozy bedrooms with great natural light. The kitchen is quite large with s/s appliances and quartz countertops. The LR has a minisplit for heat/cool as well as a woodstove. We offer ample parking in our gravel driveway. (There is a separate apartment upstairs with a priv entrance and parking. The laundry room and most of the backyard R shared with this Tennant). Occ short term available. Please inquire! Neighborhood: Birchwood Neighborhood is known for its very large lots, fruit trees, wildlife, gardens and chickens. The neighborhood is quite flat and is within walking distance to the bay, an elementary school, several parks a middle school and bike riding distance to downtown Bellingham. We are friends with several of our neighbors and there are many chickens and fresh eggs in our neighborhood. Our street is a quiet street it is not a through street.
