The home owners live at the property with their two children, who are homeschooled. The family has a small homestead which includes free ranging laying hens, bees and pigs in the spring. They are avid small and large game hunters. They have several beagles for hunting as well as one house dog. The apartment is connected to the main house and sits on 38 acres, including a 1/2 mile of river frontage on the Connecticut River. There is a private porch off the apartment, overlooking the river and fields, with a gas grill available to use. The property is very private; yet, it is close to downtown Colebrook, New Hampshire (restaurants, shopping, groceries, hospital, etc.).

The space

This accommodation is located in a family home (in-law style set-up) that had once been a working farm. It is one of the oldest properties in Lemington. Today, a family (the landlords) resides in the home and the land is actively cultivated and farmed organically - haying, raising livestock, gardening, etc. As a result, you may notice farm-related sounds and smells, or even encounter a bug or mouse.
