Located on the scenic Turquoise Trail, at the Garden of the Goddess Retreat Center is 12 miles south of Santa Fe, and with in minutes of some great cafes. The property was held for sacred purpose for millennia by native people and is famous in northern New Mexico for its unique rock outcroppings and oasis environment. This adobe guesthouse is nestled against a giant sandstone wall in the center of the retreat compound. It is two-story and offers one bedroom, one ceramic tiled bath/ shower/toilet with ONE gorgeous, multi-purpose, handcrafted sink located in the kitchen/shared area. It can comfortably accommodate up to 2 people with a queen bedroom upstairs, and double and queen futon sofas downstairs in the common area. Three of the four people who live here full time are writers, so the environment is generally very quiet. AIR FLOW: The open floor plan has large windows to bring in light (and wood shades to keep out light). It is designed with great air flow in mind, hence there is no door that separates the common area from the stairs or entry to the top sleeping area. There are brand new air-conditioners on both floors. EFFICIENCY KITCHEN: Located in the common area, it has a small refrigerator, large toaster oven, microwave, induction cooking set, electric frying pan, rice maker, blender, electric tea kettle and Keurig coffee maker in the downstairs living area. (There is also an available fully stocked community kitchen in-occasionally shared by another ranch occupant. It is kept tidy.)
