Studio in downtown Charleston on the East Side. The studio features a loft bed, sofa, desk, dining area, kitchenette and full bath. Parking included. 1 bedroom studio with full loft bed in Downtown Charleston. This unit has private bath, full size bed, TV and kitchenette. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, hot plate, cookware, dishware, utensils and drink-ware (no stove). The full bath has a stand up shower and a lot of storage. The unit includes access to wireless internet (no cable). We provide linens and towels but do not launder during your stay. We also provide start up supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, cleaner, & dish soap) but they will not be restocked during your stay. This unit has a full loft bed with a sofa underneath (if you are not comfortable climbing in and out a lofted bed then this unit is not for you). There is a brick patio exclusively for the guest of this studio right outside the door to the unit. The location is in the up and coming, diverse Eastside Neighborhood. The studio is two blocks to the restaurants and shops at the Cigar Factory and is 4 blocks to Meeting St. Please note that this unit is only available with a 30 night minimum only. We utilize a key-less entry system, making check in seamless. We are available to help guests during their stay but there is no formal check in process or formal checkout process. No smoking. Only one person. NO pets Parking: One off-street parking spot is included, the driveway is shared with other guests. Expect to maneuver your car to turn around when leaving the spot. Not suitable for oversized vehicles (Suburban, Expedition, etc.). The designated spot is steps from your door. Street Noise: This unit is at the back of the property but you should also expect to hear normal street noises. Thermostat: The thermostat for the central air and heat is not in your unit. If needed, there is a window unit for you to adjust temperature (heat or air) to your liking. Lofted Bed: The full bed is lofted, and you should be comfortable climbing in and out of a loft bed if you book this unit. Kitchenette: The unit has a kitchenette, not a full kitchen. TV: There is a TV but no cable. There is Wi-Fi to stream. Location: Please be aware that this unit is located in downtown Charleston. It is in an urban area with diverse residents. This area is undergoing much gentrification. You will find million-dollar homes as well as low-income housing. We also own the 10 townhouses next door that are all rented long term to young professionals, law/ med school and college students. My daughter lives in a house down the street. 95% of our guests show up and have no problem with the area and it is as expected. Unfortunately, we have had a couple of guests show up and are uncomfortable with the diversity of the neighborhood which they sadly equated to being unsafe. If you will not be comfortable with this environment, please look for a unit elsewhere. We have units on the East and West side of town. Unfortunately bike thefts and car break-ins can be everywhere downtown. Regardless of where you stay, lock your bike and do not keep valuables in your car, and you should be good. We would love to host you and chances are you will be very happy with this location. It is 3 blocks from Meeting Street and is located at the rear of the house with a parking spot a few feet from the door. We also have a Ring camera that covers the driveway. If you book this unit, you agree that if you have any problems with the actual unit once you arrive, you will contact us right away so we can address them with you within 24 hours. We cannot hold this unit for you and then allow a cancellation after you show up.
