I love this area of Charlotte. It is very peaceful, with lots of trees and perennial and vegetable gardens. There are birds and (harmless) wildlife around. It is a farming community filled with interesting and artistic people. While it is quite rural, it is equally a half hour to Burlington and Middlebury, and fifteen minutes to Shelburne. Mt Philo State Park is nearby--an easy and rewarding hike with great views. And the Lake, five miles away, is nourishing at any time of the year.

The space

You reach the apartment by walking around the house to the back, where there is a flagstone patio. The door opens onto a living room/kitchen area with beautiful windows highlighting the trees and gardens. The bedroom has windows to the west, substantial closet space and a gas heating stove. A bathroom is off the bedroom; a laundry room is off the living room. The patio is for the tenant's use. The kitchenette includes a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and laundry room sink.
