Our quaint little cabin is about 600 sq. feet on almost 3 very private acres with a little brook at the bottom of the property that you can hear from the deck after a heavy rainfall. Perfect location to stay and clear your head, read books, work on crafts or activities, hike, or just take a break from the busy bustle of everyday life. Wonderfully peaceful getaway with a reasonably short commute to local businesses and hospitals. Located in the Mountain View Estates in Delray, West Virginia. The geography is wooded and accessible via an HOA - maintained dirt road. There are other cabins nearby, some of which have full-time residents that are retired and appreciate a quiet and respectful coexistence. Most cabins/homes are only used seasonally but are all independently owned. Neighborhood is extremely quiet and peaceful, and the perfect place to get away without distractions of the city. 5 minute drive to the Rio General Store, gasoline, JJ's Diner, and Rio Post Office, 5-10 minutes to the Short Mountain Wildlife Management Area, 15-20 minutes to Valley Health Hampshire Memorial Hospital in Romney, WV., and many other medical clinics and stores located in Romney. Roughly 45 minutes to Harper's Ferry, WV., 45 minutes to Winchester, VA., 2 hours to Washington DC, or Dulles Airport. Cabin has one bedroom (queen bed) and one bathroom (full bathroom, including combination LG washer/dryer unit), living room, dining area, full kitchen (apartment size appliances - 24") complete with dishes, silverware, and cooking supplies, and loft - (which we would request that for the safety of our tenants, is not used for any other use than storage.) There is a pull-out couch (full size) in the living room, so cabin sleeps up to 3 in total. Senville Mini-Split may be used to heat or cool the interior. Also has a covered deck which is perfect for sitting and enjoying the beauty overlooking Short Mountain and the woods and wildlife West Virginia has to offer. Smart tv and Starlink Wifi internet included and works great. Trash service - Apple Valley Waste - pickup day is Wednesday. Large trash bin with wheels provided. Mailboxes located at entrance of neighborhood, one mail key provided to tenant that must be retained at property at the end of leasing period. Very well maintained, wheelchair accessible and very large fenced-in yard for your well-behaved fur baby (up to 2). We have dogs, however we have kept the property very clean and would ask the same of our renters. Any property damage will be billed to tenant directly if the cost to repair or replace is in excess of the deposit. Thank you for your understanding!
