The apartment is the front half of our duplex. It's an upstairs-downstairs unit with smallish carpeted bedrooms upstairs (thus one bedroom is considered office/guest space). There are two windows in each of the four rooms, plus a small bathroom window. It's an old farmhouse with a little garden space outside and a nice wood porch out front. We have owned this duplex since 1988 and we live in the back half of it. We are responsive and reasonable landlords with many skills! We have 2 cats and a dog this year. Rent includes all utilities (electric, gas, water, trash, and independent wi-fi in the unit). The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, cooking paraphernalia (but no dishwasher). Television gets local channels and has smart access. Internet is 20 Mbps. The neighborhood is organic; snow-plows, residential traffic, kids walking to school are regular sources of noise. It's in a great location -- 3 blocks from number 2 bus (goes past Winooski, hospital, St Mike's, and UVM on every trip to Church Street in Burlington; goes every hour in normal times). Bus stop is the same as Amtrak stop for daily NYC and D.C. train. Bagels, bakery, subs, coffee shops in 2 blocks' walking distance. Two maximum people at all times, assuming there will be guest situations on occasion. If you come in as a single person, we can reduce rent by $100. Sorry, no pets or smoking will be allowed in this apartment! However, we may consider exchanging occasional petsitting services for our dog and cats in exchange for rental rebates.

The space

The kitchen-dining are is fully equipped with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, cooking paraphernalia (but no dishwasher). The smaller "guestroom" /office has a twin bed, dresser and work table. The main bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, and work table. Beds have the minimum of linens and pillows on them, and there are a few towels in good shape. Full bath is outside the main bedroom. Off-street parking right at the unit.
