The home is located in Fly Creek, New York, a hamlet located three miles from Cooperstown. It hosts a Winery, and the famous Fly Creek Cider Mill where they will have demonstrations in the fall on making several types of apple cider each with three types of apples. They have their own gift shop, lunches and free parking. The cider mill and the Winery are within walking distance from the house. The Fly Creek Country Store boasts their own luncheon menu as well as household items , local produce and gas pumps. Price Chopper grocery store is located in Cooperstown along with plenty of shops and local eateries. Also, Otsego Lake where you can rent a boat, fish or just relax. Leatherstocking Golf Course, a 18 hole course adjoining the historic Otsega Hotel. For the history and sports buffs you may take a tour of the Farmers Museum, Fennimore House and the famous Baseball Hall of Fame. Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, a teaching facility is located here as well.
