The Ellison Estate Vineyard house sits on top of a sloping rectangular 50 acre lakefront lot, with 14.5 acres of vines on the East shore of Grand Isle, Vermont. Our family lives on the property and utilizes the house to run our business from mid-April to mid-October. When we harvest the grapes in September, we shift our lives to Stowe, Vermont where our winery and year round tasting room is located (where we make the wine!). We are looking for a responsible tenant that will treat our home and property with respect. This house would be a good fit for writers, nurses, doctors, professors, and business people with temporary positions in the Burlington or Plattsburgh area, or people needing temporary high-quality housing during home renovations. The property is a very short commuting distance to Burlington (about 35 min). Ellison Estate Vineyard is a working farm, and our small team of employees and owners will likely be present on the property occasionally during your stay and have access to the basement and garage. You will barely see us, but this is something you need to be comfortable with while we winter prune or need to manage aspects of the vineyard. This property is extremely special and we are thrilled to share it with you. The views will take your breath away, and there is so much space to explore.
