Welcome to a bright, fully furnished private suite on the lower level of our mid-century modern home in Pittsford, NY. It's a quiet, comfortable base for visiting academics, guest artists, and traveling medical professionals staying a month or more in the Rochester/Pittsford area. THE SUITE The suite is entirely yours: a private bedroom, private bathroom, and your own kitchen, stocked with cookware, dishes, coffee, and spices so you can settle in on day one. A mini-split heating and air conditioning system keeps it comfortable through every Rochester season. Linens, a hair dryer, an iron, and starter supplies are waiting when you arrive, and a professional cleaner comes once a month. LIVING The entrance is shared with the main house, where we live. Our friendly dog, Bear, lives upstairs. A gate separates the entry, but guests should be comfortable around dogs. Laundry is available Wednesdays and Sundays, and you'll have a dedicated parking spot in the driveway. A small private outdoor area and a staircase down to the Auburn Trail make it easy to get outside for a walk, run, or bike ride. We're a no-shoes, smoke-free household. HOT TUB Guests can add access to our hot tub for $100 per month, for your own private use (rules apply). It's a great way to unwind after a long shift or a cold Rochester evening. THE NEIGHBORHOOD The neighborhood is wooded and peaceful, with the Auburn Trail right outside and the Erie Canal and Pittsford Village just minutes away. Spend a weekend strolling the canal path, grabbing ice cream at Pittsford Farms Dairy, or browsing the village shops and restaurants. It's a calm, private place to come home to after a long day of teaching, performing, or a shift.
