Montpelier is approximately 15 minutes away, and Central Vermont Medical Center is about 20 minutes away. The approximately 600-square-foot apartment occupies two floors of a renovated 1920s space. It has its own private entrance and is attached to our owner-occupied home, with locked connecting doors and no shared interior living spaces. It's a peaceful household, although you may occasionally hear everyday sounds through the shared walls. Barry, your on-site host and the cabinetmaker who renovated the apartment, is nearby if you need assistance while respecting your privacy. Downstairs, the open-plan kitchen, dining area, and living room provide space to cook, work, and relax. The kitchen includes an induction cooktop, a separate countertop oven/toaster/air fryer, a dishwasher, cookware, utensils, and everyday essentials. The dining table doubles as a workspace, with reliable Wi-Fi available. The living room features a queen-size pull-out couch, comfortable chairs, a coffee table, and an electric fireplace. A ceiling fan circulates air downstairs, and a coat closet provides extra storage. Upstairs, the bedroom has a queen-size bed, a built-in closet, drawers, and a bookcase. The bathroom, also upstairs, includes a walk-in shower, sink, and toilet. Bed linens and towels are provided. Guests should be comfortable using stairs. Enjoy morning coffee on your small porch, or spend time in the shared yard with outdoor seating, dining furniture, and a BBQ grill. On-street parking is available, with a town EV charger just steps away. Coin-operated laundry is available in Montpelier. Monthly rent is $1,850 for one person or a couple. Utilities are included, with winter heating provided up to 68°F-bring your favorite cozy layers for Vermont's colder months! Higher heating temperatures require prior arrangement and may incur an additional charge agreed upon in advance. Overnight guests are welcome for up to three consecutive nights. Longer visits require prior approval. Any additional resident requires prior approval and will increase the monthly rent. No pets, please; our dog, Yuka, lives in the separate main house.
