WayStation is a beautifully appointed "Tiny" Cottage located in Westminster, Vermont. At 336 square feet (14 by 24) with a 14 by 8 roofed and railing-ed front porch and entry, it is an efficient space that offers respite, beauty, functionality, and safe country living at its best. WayStation is beautifully furnished with a queen sized bed, a full kitchen, a full bathroom with a walk-in tiled shower, wood floor, rugs, and lots of natural light. Outside there are gardens, trees, and loads of green space. Sitting on a 5 acre piece of land, WayStation is only about 100 feet from my house (where I live year round) yet it is very private, as the two buildings are separated by a lush screen of plants and bushes. In the Wintertime it is less lush and more of beautiful, skeletal branches. When inside WayStation, you find yourself in a unique and artistic home. Outside, you are living near 3 gorgeous and friendly goats: Clayton, who is the biggest, and 2 babies, Henri and Etta. All of my goats love people as they are my pets and treasured companions. Dulci and Neya are the 2 black kitties that live with Clayton, Henri and Etta. Sometimes they are friendly and sometimes they are wary. But they help to keep the rodent population down on the property, and I adore them. I work at home on Zoom so you can trust that the internet is excellent. WayStation was crafted such that you are fully independent & private, while I am close by for any assistance or support you might need. The well water is delicious. The central heating and cooling are powered by a mini-split heat pump, and my property is peaceful and beautifully maintained. I am proud to write that currently there is a large solar electric system on the property. It is important to note here that despite immaculate cleaning and maintenance, this is a truly rural environment. As such, there is always the possibility that an errant insect or mouse could make an appearance. In addition, there are my (wonderful) neighbors on adjoining land. In fact, you could, on occasion, hear the wafting sounds of barking dogs or a seasonal gathering, the horses nearby, a chainsaw, a vehicle, an outside fire with friends, or on rare days, the distant boom of someone doing target practice. I love it here, and have grown to be grateful for the sounds and presence of neighbors, while living on a serene, beautiful, and private piece of rural property. I hope that you will too. *** PLEASE NOTE: IMPORTANT: Despite my best efforts, there are some details that have changed and it is important to me that you are aware of these details as you make your decision about whether to request my WayStation. I only want to rent to people who genuinely WANT to be here. 1: Due to the drought, there has been more mouse activity in my area. Even with my 2 cats patrolling, and all of the deterrence that I do (and I do) I have been having an Exterminator coming on request. He checks and empties any traps and makes sure that everything is just fine. I am aware that this can be an inconvenience so I want you to consider this as you seek your rental. 2: In the photos, WayStation is surrounded by trees and appears to be a little cottage in the woods. It was. However, I am in the process of planting an Orchard with my neighbor, so some of those trees are no longer here. Hopefully, in the Spring, we will no longer be in drought conditions, and the trees (Peach, Apple, and Cherry) will begin to grow. For the time being though, it all feels much more open.
