Step back in time while enjoying modern comfort at this beautifully restored 1840 Lock Tender's Cottage, one of the few remaining canal houses on the East Coast. Located in Rosendale, New York Ulster County. Fully furnished and newly renovated, 3BR/2 full baths, with a bright open-plan kitchen and dining area, a cozy living room with hand hewn beams and wood burning fireplace. The cottage is ~1,200 square feet, across three floors. The Space The ground floor main entrance opens into the kitchen with underfloor radiant heat, fridge, dish washer, keurig machine, microwave, and stove top. All cutlery, plates, glasses etc provided. A powder room is also located on the ground floor with a shower, toilet and wash basin. Stairs lead up to the second floor into a cozy living space with working wood stove and smart TV. Off the living space there are two guest bedrooms each with queen beds (note there is no storage in those two guest bedrooms). The main bathroom is located on the second floor with large vanity, bath and shower. You'll also find a large washer/ dryer on this floor. There is a back door allowing easy access to the yard. Another set of stairs lead up to the main bedroom with a king sized bed, desk and small walk in closet. The cottage is set on 1.5 acres, private yard with grill, patio, firepit and heated pool (open June- end of September). The space

Ideal property for a single person or couple. Utilities (electric, propane, wifi, snow ploughing) are included in the monthly rental rate. Tenants will be required to pay for cleaning ($200) every 2 weeks. Property not suitable for someone with mobility issues as there are two flights of stairs.
