The Julia Wilson Guesthouse is a studio apartment alongside the Julia Wilson House, a designated historic home. It was built in 1908, and is one of the last examples of Folk Victorian architecture in University Heights. The guesthouse is detached and has a private entrance. Its set back from the street behind a lockable gate. University Heights is a great neighborhood! Very walkable. You're dangerously close to great restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, bars, and wine bars. Just next door is the very popular Stella Jeans Ice Cream. Sometimes you'll smell fresh waffle cones! Next door to them is the Pop Pies Company. There's a CVS a block away and a Sprouts just three blocks away! Trader Joe's and other supermarkets are just around the corner in Hillcrest. The guesthouse is ideal for 1 or 2 people. There's a bed, table, kitchenette, and bathroom. The kitchenette includes a stove top and countertop air fryer oven. The closet has shelving, a chest of drawers, and a rod for hanging clothes. There are many free parking spaces along Park Boulevard, Meade Avenue, and North Avenue. We parked on the street without issue when we lived here. Got a dog? Perfect! University Heights is very friendly toward dogs. I can't think of a single restaurant without a dog-friendly patio! Just across the road is Alice Birney Joint-Use Field. It's an on-leash park that typically opens around 5 o'clock each evening. One block further south is the University Heights Off-Leash Dog Park. If instead you turn left and head north you'll reach Trolley Barn Park. The streets are nice for walks, with lots of interesting architecture. There's no laundry on-site, but there are three laundromats within two blocks. The closest is Park Boulevard Laundry & Dry Cleaners. It's a 5-minute walk (0.2 miles) away. There's also The Laundry Room and University Heights Dry Cleaner and Laundry.
