The bedrooms, facing the back and side yard are cozy and quiet, with comfortable mattresses, down comforters and pillows. Every room in this house has a view of trees, flowers, bushes or some kind of green. So special! The main bathroom has a spacious tiled shower and a clawfoot tub underneath a skylight which makes for a spa-like bathing experience. There is a south facing sunroom overlooking the side yard that is home to an apple and lemon tree. A perfect place for a morning coffee or tea. The sprawling patio and backyard area is truly the jewel of this property and is probably unparalleled as a single family backyard anywhere in the city. It is a perfect place to chill, entertain, or dine outdoors as well as full on nature reserve/wild space. Here you can sit in the sun (or shade) and watch hummingbirds flit by, see an early morning hawk on the fence, listen to the bees buzzing in the rosemary bush or watch squadrons of dragonflies circle the yard. It is a truly special place. It is an extension and complement to the Bernal Hill park, which is only a block away and can be seen from the back yard. A note on the house: This is a well preserved and maintained artist's home that was remodeled in the late 1970's. It is not a "to the studs" new remodel with brand new kitchen and bath and such. It clean, comfortable and fully functional but is not without it's imperfections. You may find settling flaws in a plaster wall, kitchen drawers without fancy slides, or a cabinet door that refuses to close that last 1/2 inch. We are a busy family and love this place and function in it very efficiently and comfortably. If you are a relaxed guest that appreciates style, great energy, location and an open natural setting, I don't think you'll be disapointed. If you are looking for soft close drawers and a condominium experience than maybe it's not the place for you. That being said, I've never seen anyone of any stripe enter this space and not be wowed and charmed by it. We simply love it!

There is an open floor plan and green views from every window. Colorful and eclectic paint and artwork throughout give the house a comfy and creative vibe and the double sized backyard/patio area is an amazing private park and entertaining space.
