The Skinny House studio apartment is a cozy street-level space located in the San Francisco Portola garden district. The space works well for a couple or a single person. There is a comfortable living space/bedroom combo with a queen-size bed and sofa bed option. There is a small separate dining area, a full kitchen, and a full bathroom with a tub. Our family lives upstairs and footsteps and voices may be heard at times. A small dog is welcome. We are unable to host cats due to severe allergies. There is no direct access to access to the washer/dryer. However, the host will provide 2 complimentary laundry loads per week and a weekly change of bed linens. Portola is located in the south-east part of San Francisco. It is an ethnically and culturally diverse neighborhood. The neighborhood is mainly comprised of single-family homes that are close to a merchant corridor lined with restaurants, grocers, coffee shops, and bakeries. It is usually sunny and warm in the Portola and it has been nicknamed "the Little Hood that Could". The apartment studio is conveniently located steps from the merchant corridor. Bus stops to downtown, hospitals, colleges, Oracle Park, the Chase Center, South SF Biotech cluster, and SF attractions are across the street. Get to downtown SF by bus in about 20 minutes, and 15 minutes by car/ride-share. There is quick freeway access to downtown SF, South SF Biotech cluster, Silicon Valley, and SFO airport. Nearby is the neighborhood library, Palega Community Center with tennis courts and fields, and just a few blocks from beautiful McLaren Park. The sun is usually shining in the Portola.
