Welcome to The Teasel House, a well-loved historic home built in 1850. The home features original hardwood floors throughout, a formal dining room, wrap-around front porch, first-level bonus room, large kitchen, cozy living room, and a new feature - a historic Wegman upright piano built just down the road in Auburn, NY. This beloved piano is from around 1890, is incredibly in tune and ready for you to play. Three bedrooms are located on the second level, two of which are fully furnished with brand new beds - the master suite with a king, second bedroom with a full. The third bedroom opens to the bathroom and features a large walk-in closet - great for hanging your favorite clothes. Antique art and decor can be found throughout the home, most items are locally curated. The area is highly walkable, and is excellent for runners and bikers alike. There is a large backyard free to use - lay out a blanket and have a picnic. Our drinking water is some of the cleanest in the country and comes from Skaneateles Lake - enjoy a cold glass of water directly from the faucet. *Please note* partial utilities are included - internet, water, trash, lawn care. You pay for gas and electric, which is one combined bill and typically runs about $50-$100 in the summer, $200 in the winter, per month. A washer and dryer are present on the property. Radiant steam heat is provided throughout the home during winter, and window AC units for the furnished bedrooms are provided in the summer, per request. The house is very comfortable and breezy with plenty of large windows to open. Come relax, sit on the porch with a lemonade, music, and a good book. Seeking mature and responsible guests who can appreciate quirks of an older home who will also treat the house and neighbors with kindness and respect. To preserve the integrity of the home, pets and children are not permitted, but there are a few neighborhood dogs and cats you can make friends with, as well as many visiting birds to the bird feeder, and maybe even some nearby deer.
