This cute cottage, 1505A W Monterey Ave., was constructed in 2020 in a safe, quiet, well established residential neighborhood. It is a complete separate unit from the 2 BR main house at 1505 W Monterey Ave (which is now available for rent as well). Entrance to the cottage is through the west side gate to the backyard area. We can allow a pet, conditioned upon the type and size and whether there are already pets in the main house on the same lot. An additional security deposit may also apply. The area is well situated for access to local restaurants, nightlife, live music, farmers markets, Trader Joe's, wineries, and easy access to highways for getaways to the beauty around us, including Yosemite, Lake Tahoe and quaint towns along the way. The cottage is 480 sq feet with its own private gate access, its own 'front yard area" - a full length deck - and room to breathe. There are a few steps to access the deck and front door, but no stairs within the unit itself. You will find full sized kitchen appliances in the efficient, well-furnished kitchen as well as two TVs - one in living area and the other in bedroom. High speed internet access is included , and a spa like bath welcome you home. A memory foam mattress, luxury vinyl tile floors, and windows are all equipped with room darkening shades. There are also security cameras on the exterior of both the house and the cottage to provide peace of mind while you are sleeping or away from the premises. This cottage is simply comfortable, easy to care for, and just like home. We can connect you with a cleaning service if you would like to have help with this during your stay. They can schedule weekly, bi-weekly or monthly service direct with you (and you would pay them direct as well). We recently dropped the price/30 nights to help all traveling professionals find a secure, reasonable "home away from home" but we will ask that guests enter into a Utility Cap Concept or accept a higher fixed monthly rate at $1800/month. With a utility cap addendum to the agreement for electricity & gas, we will provide normal usage amount that are typical to the home & if usage goes over that amount, guest(s) pay overage. Guests will have the choice!

The space

This is a clean, modern 1 Bedroom dwelling unit. It is suitable for a couple or single person but not suitable for those looking for two separate sleeping rooms. (If you need two separate rooms, you might want to check out our 2 BR home on the same lot for availability.) Please contact us if you are traveling with a pet or if anything else does not match your criteria 100%, such as on-premises parking versus street parking. We will try to accommodate all that we are able at the time of your request. Neighborhood: This neighborhood street is friendly and quiet. You are within 20 minutes of award winning wineries, about 100 miles from Yosemite National Park, 60 miles from Sacramento, 85 miles from San Francisco and 140 miles from Lake Tahoe. There is so much to see and explore on your days off with surrounding mountain ranges, quaint towns and national parks just an hour or two away!
