A charming 1938 house with a private self-contained, separate entrance in-law unit; you will have your own 16 x 18 yard-facing covered patio along with an uncovered garden area. The house sits on a gentle hill; enter at (locking) side gate & down several steps to the covered patio & french door entrance. Main house and in-law unit are separated by garage, where the washer & dryer are (Youll pick which days are yours for laundry; shared with 1 owner). In-law unit was built out 8 years ago. Owner unit is upstairs; a quiet-living couple lives there along with a sweet (& quiet) 40 lb dog who will intermittently be out in lower or side yard playing fetch. She has not been raised with cats. Owner works days. *Vallejo is a post military city (Navy), working class - but is highlighted at #6 in the 2023 Forbes Best California Cities for its Central location - meaning that no matter which direction you head, there are many great places to explore! (Gold country, rivers, lakes, skiing, hiking, boating, camping, wine country, craft beer havens, sailing, crabbing, the Redwood forests, San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento, etc all in striking distance on your day / weekend off). The weather here is one of my favorite aspects. *This is a 1 bedroom, but open concept with no door at the bedroom opening. Be aware that you may hear occasional creaking / footsteps from upstairs, as this is an older home. We rarely entertain and the noise should not be an issue; we have not had complaints. *No indoor smoking, no parties, quiet hours 9:30pm - 6:30am. Occasional / not regular overnight guest ok. *In addition to listed amenities above, there is basic camping gear available to use, beach chairs / beach towels *Housekeeper referral available, known to owner / cleans owners space as well as the apartment (between renters) *Regarding pets: No large pets, aggressive breeds, problem behaviors such as barking, scratching / digging; must have shots up to date and use effective flea treatment. Not allowed (directly) on any furniture. Cannot be left unattended in yard. You will be responsible for any damages including but not limited to hair / fur removal, odor / stain remediation.
