Our home is a ranch/one-story home, but there is a basement where we do our laundry. It's a simple layout...you walk in through the garage and the kitchen is on your left, but we walk back to the three- season porch (which faces the backyard) to remove our shoes and enter our home through the sunroom, which is filled with lots of plants. Just up a couple stairs from that is the kitchen and then the living room on the front side of the house. Down the hallway is the first guest room (on the left), the bathroom across the hall, then your room on the left. Further down the hall and around a corner is our office and then our bedroom. Lastly, our spacious and lovely backyard with a gorgeous view of the Helderberg Escarpment. It's really a fantastic setting complete with chicken coop and a few resident fowl.

The space

You will occupy the larger of the two guest bedrooms. It is across the hall from your bathroom which will be yours to use exclusively (except on the rare occasions when we have an out-of-town guest, they will also be using this bathroom as well).
