The common area/living room includes a couch that can fold out to a bed (extra sheets provided in it), and an air mattress is also available. There is also a desk/chair and free high speed WiFi, so that you can work comfortably and catch up on emails/Netflix (note that we do not have cable). A washer/dryer is available in-unit-- no need to trek to a laundromat! Our kitchenette is well-stocked with complimentary tea, coffee, and creamer/sugar, along with dishes and silverware, so that you can start your day off right. A fridge, sink, microwave, kettle, corkscrew, and small dining table which seats 4, are also available for your use. The bathroom is always shinny clean and spacious, and has everything you'll need, including private shower/toilet, bath and hand towels, a hair dryer, and complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We're located between Columbia Heights and Petworth (two of DC's most vibrant, iconic zones). U Street, Adams Morgan, Mt. Pleasant, and Shaw-Howard University, are just a short metro/bus/uber/bike ride away. Arrival logistics are easy: just take the yellow-line metro up from DCA, or (from Union Station), transfer to the yellow line at Gallery Place, and then head up. Or spend a comfort 20 for an Uber/Lyft driver. You'll enjoy a private, backyard entrance to the unit, and will also have access to free, on-site secured parking (truly a rare find in DC!). Inside, you'll find a comfortable bedroom(Ikea's best selling is a firm hope you like it), and closet stocked with extra blankets, pillows, hangers, and a storage shelf so that you can make yourself at home while you're in town. We have lived in DC for several years and are happy to provide recommendations for eating/drinking/sight-seeing/general logistics.
