The building itself is a 7-story apartment building, that was built in the 1950s and regularly updated. The shareholders of this cooperative are extremely nice and have invested in the building. The front courtyard garden is beautiful and well maintained. There is a sunny rooftop that overlooks Rock Creek Park, a laundry/room, bike-storage, and an optional small gym. Although the apartment is on the ground floor, it is very private as brick walls partially obscure views into the living room and reflective window coating obscure views into the bedroom. The AC and heaters are powerful, although not needed as the apartment is well insulated. The street receives little traffic and is lined by tall oak trees. The apartment has 3 closets for storage (1 bedroom, 1 bathroom hall, 1 entrance hall). Utilites (water, gas, electricity, internet) are included in the price. The building prefers a stay of 6+ months, although I would prefer a shorter lease (3+). The building also only allows cats as pets. In my opinion, the best thing about the apartment remains its location as it is extremely close to all sorts of music venues and great restaurants and is well connected to the rest of the city.
