Located in laid back residential area of Brightwood/Takoma DC and close to multiple hospitals, easy access to red line metro and bus lines (70 series and S series). Ample street parking and easy access to downtown DC and I495. Closest hospitals include Adventista (1.3m), Unity Health Care Center (1.3m), Holy Cross (2.3m), Medstar Washington Hospital Center (3.7m), Children's National Hospital (3.7m), Walter Reed National Medical Center (3.9m), Howard University (4.4m), NIH Clinical Center (4.5m), George Washington University Hospital (5.8m), Georgetown University Hospital (5.5m), Prince Georges Hospital Center (6.6m). Additionally United Healthcare and Kaiser Permanente have multiple locations within the area. I have probably missed some hospitals - we are so centrally located that there are dozens on the map. Features full kitchen with kitchen-wares, fridge, two burner stove, microwave oven, counter top convection oven and loads of other appliances, dishwasher, garbage disposal, filtered water, and eat-in counter bar; washer/dryer in unit; large bathroom with full bathtub and large bedroom closet with ample storage. Downtown Takoma Park and Silver Spring boast restaurants galore, farmer's markets, movies, and even a shopping mall. Rock Creek Park and Sligo Park are both close by with running, walking, hiking, and cycling trails. Due to dogs on property we cannot accept cats at this time. Dogs welcome on a case-by-case basis (must get along with other dogs and children and be up to date on vaccinations as they would share a back yard with our pup, and renter must agree to the pet house rules). We can recommend nearby dog walkers and daycares. For an additional fee we can help with dog care in the evenings when you work long shifts. Gated front yard and separated gated back yard (pups use the back yard). About us: Small family with one teenager and one dog living in the house above the apartment. We are often busy with school and work. We love to cycle and run on the nearby trails in Rock Creek and Sligo Parks. The house is a charming 1930s row home and the apartment is brand new construction. We built in ample sound buffering between our first floor and the apartment, but due to the 1930s charm you may still be aware when we are home or moving around during the day.
