Entering the apartment, to your right is a very spacious closet, with convenient wooden cubby holes and plenty of space to hang coats, and clothes, if you wish. Straight ahead of the entrance is a small hallway leading to the bathroom. The hallway is most likely where you would store your shoes, clothes, etc. There is a medium sized chest of drawers, clothing rod, and shelving above. On the back of the bathroom hallway door is towel storage. The door to the bathroom itself is a blue pocket door. Coming back to the entrance, to your left is a long hallway, mostly covered by a jute runner rug. When you enter the main room, you will see a desk and a chair, bed, two sitting chairs and long sofa, tv console and tv, and lamps all round. There is a ceiling fan in the middle of the room. The main room has two large rugs, but there is still floor that is visible. Underneath the eastern-ish facing window is a long wooden plank that sits atop two wooden cubes. You can use the plank to sit on, place personal items, and it doubles as a bedside table as well. The apartments windows mostly face east and south, so sunrises are especially lovely and peaceful. The floor is parquet in all but the bathroom (tile) and kitchen (porcelain tile). The building was constructed in 1903 designed by an architect in the city who designed many other buildings in the neighborhood. The pride and involvement in the building and community among the residents and owners is high. Plenty of transportation options in the neighborhood (buses, bike share (manual and e-bike), scooters too, 12 minute walk to the Metro trains). Adams Morgan is an entertainment and dining destination and is full of good restaurants, including the Brazilian Grill From Ipanema across the street. There are three grocery stores, one CVS, and two 7-11's within walking distance. And at least four coffee places in the neighborhood too (Sol e Luna is the best!).

Fully furnished, centrally located on Columbia Road, NW in the neighborhood of Adams Morgan, ideal for public transit, clean, recently renovated with new kitchen and appliances, wifi, all utilities are included. Close to hospital facilities (2 mi. from Washington Hospital ctr, NRH, the VA; 1.5 miles to GW Hospital; 2.5 miles to Georgetown) and downtown. Blackout shades on two windows. Public park next door. No smoking, no pets. One person. I use keycheck for screening, lease, rent, which charges fees.
