Beautiful, fully-furnished basement apartment in a 1908 row house in the historic Mt. Pleasant neighborhood of Washington, DC. Tenant enjoys the privacy of a separate entrance from the sidewalk with a small outdoor foyer. The front door opens onto a living room with a full-sized sofa, accent chair, coffee table, and flat screen TV. There is also a window facing the garden, a built-in window seat, and ceramic tile flooring that looks like wood throughout. The dining area includes a table with four chairs, built-in floor-to-ceiling cupboards, and a custom chandelier. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a gas range, sink, dishwasher, and cookware/utensils/plates/glasses. There is also a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, and a combined washer/dryer unit. The bathroom features a walk-in shower and high-end fixtures. The bedroom has a window and private exit onto the alley. There is also a full walk-in closet next to the bedroom (not pictured). The apartment is located on a quiet, tree-lined half-block in a highly-walkable residential neighborhood. Tenants can stroll to the Columbia Heights (green line) and Cleveland Park (red line) Metro stops, as well as to cafes, some of DC's best restaurants, a public library, the zoo, grocery stores, a pharmacy, and a Saturday farmer's market. They can also easily walk to bus stops for the S2, which takes them to the White House and the National Mall/Smithsonian, or the 42, which goes to Adams Morgan, DuPont Circle, and the Kennedy Center. The H4 route to Children's National Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center is only steps away. The apartment comes with legal resident parking on the street. The apartment is newly-furnished with all needed amenities including linens, soap/detergents, and cleaning supplies. We can arrange for regular cleanings for a fee. In the past, the apartment has been a good fit for a working professional seeking a more private and residential experience than a unit in an apartment building. The proximity to Rock Creek Park's 15 miles of wooded trails and 22 miles of paved road also makes it an excellent fit for walkers, runners, and bikers. Other things to note The apartment is on the lower level of an historic townhouse. The owners and their two children live upstairs in the townhouse. The apartment has no access to the owners' townhouse. There are steps with a railing up from the street (see photos) and also down to the entrance to the apartment (see photos).
