Close to everything in the city! 1 Bedroom/1 Bathroom remodeled basement apartment just a 5-10min Uber ride away from everything in Washington DC. Located approx 6 blocks north of H st (nightlife, bar area). Square footage is approx 525ft. Has washer/dryer for your convenience. Keurig Coffee maker for morning coffee drinkers. There is a bus stop directly in front of the house. Owner lives upstairs with hardwood floors so you WILL hear footsteps. Dimensions of space; 7'2" ceiling height throughout 13' x 13 '6" living room 12' x 8' bedroom 8' x 4'4"' bathroom The space Basement apartment with front entrance, rear exit (for emergencies). There is a shared storage foyer area in the front basement entrance where the washer/dryer is located. There are interior stairs that lead up the owner's residence but upstairs is NOT available to the guest. Before you say the space is too small please note the dimensions that I am listing here. And please look at the photos. 7'2" ceiling height 13' x 13.5" living room 12' x 8' bedroom 8' x 4.3' bathroom There is a basement foyer which has owner's storage (including bicycles and plastic tubs and miscellaneous items seen in photos). This storage area is a COMMON space that the owner may come into to access his /her bicycle and/or other personal items. PLEASE UNDERSTAND this detail prior to booking. The living area is completely private. The owner lives upstairs and there is string chance you may hear the sound from upstairs. PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE this prior to booking the property. Please make sure lights on the FRONT and the BACK remain on 24hrs. I prefer for the lights to remain on so that we can see in the evening when we approach the property. Guest access Guests will be able to access the basement apartment. You will be able to come in through the front and exit the back in order to dispose of trash and sit out on grass if you so desire. Owner uses the back to park his vehicles out back. Other things to note 1) Please note that the foyer area in basement is used by the upstairs owner to store personals belongings. So that basement foyer is considered a SHARED entrance area. Please understand that you may run into the owner as he/she retrieves personal items from the basement foyer storage area. 2) Also UNDERSTAND in the case of emergency the basement has the HVAC closet AND the basement also has the electrical panel so in the event of an emergency owner or fire department may have to access the basement. 3) You may hear sounds from upstairs since this is a townhouse and the walls are not sound-proof and sound travels.
