This comfortably furnished one-bedroom apartment is the whole third floor of my house. It is separate and private, with a door at the bottom of the stairs, but the entrance is through the main house, where I live. I'm a writer and I work at home. You can come and go as you please with as much or little interaction as you like. There are two flights of 15 stairs each. The kitchenette is in the living room. It has a mini fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker, electric burner. All cookware and diner ware is provided. Occasional use of full kitchen in the main house is available. Half-block to Columbia Heights Metro. Free shuttle bus to Washington Hospital Center. Located on a tree-lined residential street, it is only one block to dozens of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and stores (Target, Marshalls, CVS) Pets are accepted on a case-by-case basis. I have two cats, sometimes have a foster dog and usually some foster kittens. Free pass for street parking. Reserved off-street parking available for additional $100.00 per month. Several garages also available nearby.
