This beautiful, sunny, recently renovated home is situated in an established residential neighborhood. A comfortable and quiet home away from home, you are ideally located one block from the Congress Heights Metro station (Green Line) for an easy commute to and from work, rest and relaxation in the off hours, and to explore all the city and region have to offer. The house is owner occupied; I live and work at home with my cat, Sophia. The vibe here is mature, professional, friendly, and generally quiet with occasional dinner parties and celebrations. This is a non-smoking, shoeless house (shoes parked inside the front door), and no additional pets. Both the Suite and the Room have hypoallergenic mattress and pillow covers. There is ample on-street parking. You are within blocks of the exciting redevelopment of the St. Elizabeth's East campus including Sycamore & Oak Retail Village (#SOAK) and the Entertainment and Sports Arena, home to the 2019 WNBA Champion Washington Mystics; within easy walking distance to a full-service grocery store, acres of green space, and a world class tennis facility. Hopping Metro takes you downtown to monuments, museums, dining, theatre, the White House, the Capital, the Library of Congress, and other government buildings in 10 to 20 minutes; to other major sports venues, the Wharf, or Union Station in 10-15 minutes; and to National Airport in 20 minutes. If driving, you are within 1.5 miles to interstate I-295 with easy access to I-495 and I-95; within 5 miles of the MGM Grand and the National Harbor with outlets. Application requirements include: *verification of employment and a current or contracted income 2.5 times the rent; *authorization for a $45.00 background/credit check; *positive credit score and employment history; *positive rental history with no evictions; and *positive reference check. The rental is secured once the following are completed: *application is approved; *a signed lease is received; *deposit is paid; *cleaning fee is paid; *first month's rent is paid; and *proof of rental insurance is submitted. Welcome to your private, sunny basement suite located in a beautiful, recently renovated home. The Suite has a private entrance, 600 square feet of living space, a private bath with walk-in shower, a kitchenette, a 53" LG television w/ Apple TV, and access to a shared full kitchen and laundry on the main floor. I live in the main part of the house with my shorthair cat who does not go into the suite. We look forward to welcoming you for your stay in this dynamic city!
