The curated decorative vibe includes contemporary furniture with a dash of antiques, an art collection of works by mainly local artists, and a vast book collection. There is a building courtyard with a garden and benches. The washer and dryer are in the building basement (key provided). Building access is secure with FOBs (will be provided). The main street is slightly busy: you will hear buses and vespas rev up the slight hill (feels a bit like being in Europe). There is also a laundromat and grocery store across the street (2 minute walk), and a latin restaurant with fantastic margaritas! There is a Capital Bike Share rack across the street, and Fort Totten metro stop is a 10 minute walk. Uber bikes are also easy to find in the area. Free 2-hour parking for non residents. The Petworth neighborhood still holds much of Washington DC's unique charm. This is a family-oriented neighborhood. The neighborhood is safe to walk, but it is always advised in Washington DC to be on your guard.
