This newly-remodeled studio comes with 8-foot ceilings, full-size windows, a walk-in closet with custom shelves, and a private entrance with french doors. It offers zoned heating and air conditioning, on-site laundry, and a 55" Samsung smart TV with apps for streaming entertainment. The 500-square-foot living space is separate from the main part of the house. The washer and dryer are shared. It is home-office friendly with FiOS internet at 300 MBPs. The fully-stocked, vented kitchenette includes quartz countertops, garbage disposal, combination microwave and convection oven, electric kettle, Instant Pot, rice cooker, and other cooking appliances. The queen-size bed is a new, medium Novaform 14" ComfortGrande Plus Gel Memory Foam Mattress. The mattress and pillows are protected with allergen encasements. An extra set of sheets and towels are provided. The rent covers electricity, gas, Wi-Fi, and a security alarm service. I live upstairs in the main part of the house with a roommate and a small dog Rosie, who is a friendly Terrier mix. The backyard includes mature plants for privacy, a sitting area, a fig tree, herbs and other vegetables that I am happy to share with you when in season. My house is located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood within walking distance of many amenities: the Takoma Metro Station (Red Line), multiple bus lines, a Safeway grocery store, a CVS Pharmacy, a weekly farmers market, coffee shops, restaurants, parks, and more. Other nearby grocery stores include the Takoma Park-Silver Spring Food Co-op and Whole Foods. The walk score for my house is 70, the transit one is 65, and biking is 73 (www.walkscore.com). Major hospitals may be reached with an easy commute: Medstar National Rehabilitation Center, Children's National, Howard University, Holy Cross, George Washington University Hospital, and Medstar Georgetown University. Many federal offices in DC are accessible via Metro. Application requirements include: a current or contracted income 2.5 times the rent; excellent credit score and employment history; positive rental history with no evictions; and authorization for a $52.00 background/credit check.
