Tucked away in the northeast corridor of DC is a cozy naturally sun-lit semi-detached home that is close to many hospitals, making your commute a short and easy one. This house makes you feel like you are in the suburbs even though you are living in the Nations Capital! The 4 BR, 2 bath home has original brick walls in the living and dining rooms and hardwood floors throughout. There is a deep back yard that provides ample space for backyard barbecues and plenty of conversation with neighbors. You will enjoy the warm and welcoming neighborhood that has new comers and transgenerational residents that you will enjoy meeting on you walk to the subway or the bus. There is one bedroom available in the house with a separate entrance. On days off, enjoy an easy trip downtown for your sightseeing ventures. The house is 1.5 blocks from the D-30 bus line and a 7-10 minute walk from the Fort Totten Metro which hosts the red, yellow and green lines. The green line takes you directly to Arena Stage for fantastic plays, U Street for jazz music and nightclubs, Potomac Yards for great eateries and the river walkway. The red line at Fort Totten is one stop away from ArtWalk in Brookland, Dance Place, Busboys and Poets, Art Jamz; Brookland Pint and other local eateries. It also takes you to Union Station for connections to tour buses or train travel to Baltimore and beyond. The red line also takes you downtown to Metro center where you can transfer to the Orange, Blue and Silver lines or exit the subway system to visit the White House, the National Mall, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, Fords Theatre and other sights. The yellow line takes you directly to Reagan National airport and the D-30 bus places you at the front door of the Kennedy Center for evenings of entertainment. Within a 10 -15 minute drive is Walmart, Shops at Dakota Crossing, Five Guys, Costco, Yes Organic Foods, Giant Food and CVS and Rite Aid Pharmacies. Due to landlord allergies, no pets are allowed. Application requirements include income 2.5x rental price, application fee of $39.99; nonrefundable fee of $400, positive credit and employment history, strong rental history with no evictions, active checking account and authorization for a background and credit check. Rental insurance is highly recommended before move-in. The Baltic Room - Medium Bedroom, full bed, internet, semi-private bath (share with 1 other), shared kitchen, living room, dining room, basement and backyard - 11 ft x 8 ft 3 in - $1150. There is ample on-street parking, however the cost for a residential reciprocity parking sticker is $300 for six months. Application and payment is to be made to the Department of Motor Vehicles. This is worth getting as parking tickets are expensive in DC. Attention: The landlord lives at the property and will be there on and off during the rental period. Rentals over three months wiil require application through a company called The Guarantors.

The Baltic Room is located on the second floor. It has a double bed, ceiling fan, central air conditioning and heating, closet, dresser. bed and bath linens. wi-fi. The occupant of the Baltic Room will share the second floor full bath with one person maximum. They will also share the kitchen, living and dining room. Laundry facilities are available in the basement. Female applicants only.
