Located up a hill on a private road at the base of the Worcester Range, this property is a delightful, peaceful oasis with easy access to recreation or work. It's an easy commute to hospitals in Berlin (20 minutes), Burlington (35), or Morrisville (20), the State House in Montpelier (20), and the University of Vermont as well as Champlain and St. Michael's Colleges (35). You can also drive four miles (or bike on trails and back roads) to the bus that will take you to Montpelier or Burlington. You are also conveniently located in the heart of Vermont skiing, with Stowe, Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, and Bolton all an easy drive. A town park with skate park and playing fields, the Grange Hall Cultural Center, Central Vermont Chains (exceptional disc golf), and the fire department are all less than a mile away. Waterbury Center has excellent access to incredible dining and breweries in Waterbury and Stowe with just a short drive. The property itself is exceptionally peaceful. Surrounded by protected land and meadows, you can begin your morning with a walk on shared neighborhood trails or a cold plunge in the neighborhood pond. Unwind from your day watching a stunning sunset over Camel's Hump or stargazing from your private balcony to the delightful sounds of owls and peepers. You can enjoy plenty of yard and garden space and spot a good amount of wildlife right out the window! There are neighbors close enough to feel comfortable but few enough that you almost feel as if you are living on acres of private land. The apartment is newly renovated with a private entry off of our deck. Enter into your own small mudroom space (an essential when living in rural Vermont) and then head upstairs to an open-plan kitchen / dining / living area with cozy corners for reading and plenty of space for relaxation and work. You will have a separate bedroom space with a queen-sized bed and east facing windows for delightful morning sun and a bathroom with a full-sized washer/dryer. A newly installed heat pump and ceiling fan will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter and an additional heater can help out on those exceptionally chilly Vermont winter evenings. Utilities are included, as well as lawn mowing and snow removal. However, winter guests might need to do a bit of supplemental shoveling if the snow falls too heavily after we leave for work! Our road is a true Vermont dirt hill and while it's excellent in spring, summer, and fall, can get tricky winter and mud season.

The space

This is a comfortable one bedroom with a kitchen and open living room / dining space. It has a small deck with stunning views of Camel's Hump and the Green Mountains beyond peaceful fields and a neighborhood pond. The bathroom has been newly remodeled to include a washer/dryer. It is located above a garage and the entry is from our deck so it requires both indoor and outdoor stairs to access.
