The property is located in the town of Woodstock, in the hamlet of Taftsville. It is new, spacious, nicely appointed, quiet, and well-lit. Being only 6 miles from Exit 1 at I-89, the apartment is conveniently located to the Upper Valley. Surrounded by nearly two acres of nature, this tranquil getaway is perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat. The apartment features one-level living with the entry at ground level. The air conditioning is provided by using mini-splits (heat pumps). Heating is through hot water baseboard. A vacuum is provided. The elegant bathroom features a heated stone floor. Nearby activities are available in villages of Woodstock and Quechee with their shopping and dining options, Simon Pearce Glass, Woodstock & Quechee Country Clubs, Dartmouth College, the Appalachian Trail, covered bridges, maple sugarhouses, swimming holes, hiking/snowshoeing trails, and skiing at Saskedena Six and Killington. Taftville has its own trail system that is open year-round for hiking, snowshoeing, and Nordic skiing. For bicyclists, there are a couple of country roads that will safely get you into town without having to use busy Route 4. These country roads are great for walking and running, too. The Ottauquechee River is across the street from our backyard and is enjoyable for kayaking, canoeing, and swimming - there is a fun rope swing. Other things to note: Killingtons Skyeship Lodge and its gondola are an easy 18-mile drive from the apartment. Other Killington lodges are just a few miles beyond that. Saskadena Six ski area is only 7 miles away, and the Quechee Ski Hill is a quick 3 miles across the Taftsville covered bridge.
