What "Furnished" Should Include: A Move-In Checklist
1 min readFurnished Keys Team

"Furnished" means different things to different people. For a stay of a month or more, it should mean you can arrive with a suitcase and live normally from day one. Renters can use this checklist to ask the right questions, and owners can use it to set up a place renters will pick.

A hair dryer
A shower curtain or door, and a plunger

Pots, pans, baking sheets
Plates, bowls, glasses, mugs and utensils
A coffee maker, toaster or toaster oven, and a microwave
Knives, cutting boards and basic utensils

Reliable Wi-Fi, with the speed listed
Enough outlets near the desk and the bed

For owners
You don't need designer furniture. Clean, matching basics and good light matter more. Photograph every room, mention the Wi-Fi speed, and list exactly what's included, so renters don't have to ask.
